Warranty Policy
Coverage
- TAUROX warrants new products against defects in material or workmanship for 36 months from delivery to the first user or 90 days after delivery to the dealer, whichever comes first.
- Excludes wear parts and normal wear and tear (e.g., cutting edges, teeth, pins, hydraulic lines).
- The warranty is non-transferable.
TAUROX Responsibilities
- Repair or replace defective parts with new or reconditioned parts, free of charge, delivered to a TAUROX Dealer. Note: Parts placed under warranty become property of TAUROX.
- Covers labor costs up to $85/hour for necessary repairs during normal working hours. Overtime and travel expenses are not reimbursed.
- Each warranty claim is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. TAUROX approval is required for any warranty remedies.
User Responsibilities
- Register warranty within 10 business days of purchase (otherwise coverage may not be considered).
- Follow TAUROX’s installation, operation, and service instructions.
- Submit photos with warranty claims.
- Cover transportation costs to authorized TAUROX locations.
- Provide a hydraulic oil sample upon request.
- TAUROX is not responsible for in-field repair unless TAUROX grants prior permission.
Exclusions
- Misuse, abuse, or unauthorized alterations/modifications/repairs.
- Improper installation, maintenance, operation, lubrication, repair, or storage.
- Underwater operation.
- Operation with known defects or worn parts.
- Delay of 15 working days or more to make a repair after being notified of a potential product problem or after the go-ahead is given to fix a product.
- Damage from unfit or inexperienced operators.
- Breakers used in steel mill operation or in two or more working shifts per day.
- Violations of any laws or the removal/alteration of serial plates.
- Repairs done by other than a TAUROX dealer (unless approved by TAUROX).
- Attachments not used for their intended purpose (e.g. exceeding lift capacities, et cetera).
- Attachments using non-TAUROX parts.
- Excessive labor charges or shipping costs (air freight, unless pre-approved, will not be covered).
- Duties, taxes, and brokerage fees.
- Claims for indirect losses or damages (e.g. injury, loss in revenue, damage to equipment, downtime, et cetera).
- Products not used in compliance with OSHA regulations, a company’s safety standards, or any other safety standards in place or expected to be maintained.
Warranty Time Exclusions
- Hydraulic Breakers: 24-month warranty for defects, excluding wear parts. Only the main body, gas head, and valve are covered for the final 12 months after the first 24-month period.
- Couplers: 24-month warranty for manufacturing defects, excluding wear parts.
